From My Heart

From My Heart

A million stars up in the sky.
One shines brighter – I can’t deny.
A love so precious, a love so true,
a love that comes from me to you.
The angels sing when you are near.
Within your arms, I have nothing to fear.
You always know just what to say.
Just talking to you makes my day.
I love you, honey, with all of my heart.
Together forever and never to part.

Let Go

Let Go

What do I do,
When I’m still in love with you?
You walked away,
‘Cause you didn’t want to stay.
You broke my heart, you tore me apart.
Every day I wait for you,
Telling myself our love was true.
But when you don’t show, more tears start to flow.
That’s when I know
I have to let go.

To keep your marriage brimming

With love in the loving cup,

Whenever you’re wrong, admit it;

Whenever you’re right, shut up.

-Ogden Nash

When I was

When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three
I was hardly me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six,
I’m as clever as clever,
So I think I’ll be six now for ever and ever.

-A. A. Milne

If I Thought

If I Thought
If I thought for just one moment that this would be my last breath,
I’d tell you I’ll love you forever, even beyond death.
If I thought for just one moment that your face would be the last I’d see,
I’d take a million pictures and save them just for me.
If I thought for just one moment that your voice would be the last I’d hear,
I’d listen attentively and promise not to shed a tear.
If I thought for just one moment that your touch would be the last I’d feel,
I’d embrace you and know that this has all been real.
If I thought for just one moment that my heart would beat its last beat,
I’d thank the Lord for allowing us to meet.

What She Is To Me

What She Is To Me
Look at the beauty in her eyes,
a glow that shines like the sunrise.
Her smile opens up the cloudy skies,
her laughter delights butterflies.
The ocean greets her as she passes by.
Her gorgeous toes leave their mark, saying goodbye.
Gentle breeze through her hair,
she walks elegantly while astonished eyes all stare.
Rosy cheeks cover her face.
A flower-child blossoms, kindly accepting embrace.
She is a thorn-less rose without compare.
She is the love my heart will forever endear.

Time

Tick tock…tick tock…
Life is counting down on your internal clock.

Memories that feel as if they occurred yesterday
turn to flashes of moments that seem to fade away.

People you once knew
walk by without a clue.

The times you once shared
exist as if you were never there.

Years fly…friends die…
and you never know when you’ll say your last goodbye.

Oh, how I wish I could turn back time,
spend it with loved ones and cherish what once was mine.

Or to go back even more,
being a kid in a candy store.

How I miss the way I used to feel
on Christmas day when Santa was real.

But back to reality…back to today,
family is scarce and memories continue to fade away.

Tick tock…tick tock…
How I wish I could control this clock.

The True Meaning Of Life

The Years have passed by,
In the blink of an eye,
Moments of sadness,
And joy have flown by.

People I loved,
Have come and have gone,
But the world never stopped,
And we all carried on.

Life wasn’t easy,
And the struggles were there,
Filled with times that it mattered,
Times I just didn’t care.

I stood on my own,
And I still found my way,
Through some nights filled with tears,
And the dawn of new days.

And now with old age,
It’s become very clear,
Things I once found important,
Were not why I was here.

And how many things,
That I managed to buy,
Were never what made me,
Feel better inside.

And the worries and fears,
That plagued me each day,
In the end of it all,
Would just fade away.

But how much I reached out,
To others when needed,
Would be the true measure,
Of how I succeeded.

And how much I shared,
Of my soul and my heart,
Would ultimately be,
What set me apart.

And what’s really important,
Is my opinion of me,
And whether or not,
I’m the best I can be.

And how much more kindness,
And love I can show,
Before the Lord tells me,
It’s my time to go.

-Pat A. Fleming

Nobody Knows

Nobody knows it’s empty,
The smile that I wear.
The real one is left behind in the past
Because I left you there…

Nobody knows I am crying.
They won’t even see my tears.
When they think I am laughing,
I wish you were here…

Nobody knows it’s painful.
They think that I am strong.
They say it won’t kill me,
But I wonder if they are wrong…

Nobody knows I miss you.
They think I am all set free,
But I feel like I am bound with chains,
Trapped in the mystery…

Nobody knows I need you.
They think I can do it on my own,
But they don’t know I am crying
When I am all alone…

Love Is Eternal Feeling

Love has no reason,

Love may have no season

When you love someone,

All you want is to spend time with them,

When you love someone, you might wish days to be long,

Longing in the heart where you belong,

Love is an eternal feeling so true,

Everything seems so vibrant and new!

-English Poetry

Sands Of Love

I want t walk with you

Hand in hand, along the soft sand.

Holding you tightly to me, as we softly caress.

To be into you, and you into me.

To a depth neither wants controlled.

Tasting you, inhaling you breath as we kiss.

To love as we never knew.

A love so caring, passionate, tender and true,

As we lay on the soft sand.

-Marc Robinson -English Poetry

I Dream A World

I dream a world where man

No other man will scorn,

Where love will bless the earth

And peace its paths adorn

I dream a world where all

Will know sweet freedom’s way,

Where greed no longer saps the soul

Nor avarice blights our day.

A world I dream where black or white,

Whatever race you be,

Will share the bounties of the earth

And every man is free,

Where wretchedness will hang its head

And joy, like a pearl,

Attends the needs of all mankind-

Of such I dream, my world!

All Good Things Come To An End

All good things come to an end,
Even the gifts that God sends,

Like her, the angel He sent from above
who was the one person I truly loved.

She changed everything and made my life worthwhile.
She was the only one who could make me smile.

She really doesn’t understand how much she means.
I’ll never be as happy as I’ve been.

She was my heart and my soul,
She filled me with joy and made me whole.

She was my world, my greatest treasure.
I loved her so much that it couldn’t be measured.

I remember every kiss and touch.
All our memories I miss so much.

I wish we could go back in time,
When I was hers and she was mine.

I’d always protect her and let nothing harm her.
How ironic it was though that she was my armor.

She always made me feel so secure.
No matter what went wrong, she always had a cure.

With her I felt absolutely no fear,
But now I’m scared of anything that comes near.

She healed me and put me back together,
So I held on to her; she was my tether.

Sadly, she suddenly cut the rope,
And with it went my happiness and hope.

The spell had finally been broken
As I realized I had awoken.

It had all just been a dream,
No matter how real it may have seemed.

Everything I felt had been an illusion,
Explained by the way it left me in shock and confusion.

My best dream became my worst nightmare.
She vanished while she was right there.

She left me to struggle on my own.
She left me stranded, isolated, and all alone.

I had to wake up and realize
That the only real truth are real lies.

But I can truly tell her, “You’re the sweetest dream I ever had,”
And for that, I can only be grateful and glad.

To be happy again, I’ll have to relive the past.
Hold on to every memory for as long as they last,

To look back at how I used to feel,
To remember them as if they were real.

Even though it’s over, l’ll have to pretend,
Because all good things must come to an end.

-English Poetry

I close my eyes and

I can see you still

Because I can see you

From my heart I love you

Your love is the doctor to my wounds

Mentor to my dilemmas

Friend to my sorrows

Teacher to my actions

And companions to my joys

-English Poetry

I Will Take Care Of You

Let me take care of your broken heart
and show you how to fly.
Let me hold you gently by the hand
and kiss your tears goodbye.

Let me lead you to tomorrow’s light
and out of needless rain,
’cause all I want right now
is to see you smile again.

Let me sing you all the songs I wrote
’til you sleep in my embrace,
and I’ll keep you safe and warm until
the sunlight strokes your face.

Let me bring you up the mountain’s peak,
and I’ll let you touch the skies
to remind you of the strength I see
when I look into your eyes.

Let me kiss and show you what is love
and the happiness it brings.
You’ll sail again like a butterfly
endowed with pretty wings.

Let me do all these to let you see
our fates are intertwined.
You’re the accidental precious gem
I’ve waited long to find.

The earth and sky conspired to make us meet.
They knew we both belong
to each other like words and lovely notes
give life to every song.

So fly with me, my beautiful one.
It’s time we leave the past.
I’m yours to keep, and you are mine.
We’re finally home at last.

Randy Batiquin  -English Poetry

She never got to dance
Or go to her own prom.
She never got the chance
To forget where she came from
.

She never got to kiss,
A man she idolized.
She never felt love’s bliss,
‘Cause she was paralyzed.

She never got to talk
About love with a smile.
She never got to walk
Down a church’s aisle.

She never got to say
Those precious words, “I Do.”
But she was far and away
The strongest girl I ever knew.

She couldn’t brush her hair
Or put make up on her face.
She couldn’t hold you dear
Or give you a warm embrace.

She couldn’t clasp her hands
As if in the form of prayer.
She couldn’t understand
Why she was in a wheelchair.

She never showed her fears
Or let you hear her cries.
She never showed the tears
That fell down from her eyes.

She never looked for pity
Or sympathy from you.
That’s why she’ll always be
The strongest girl I ever knew.

I Am Sorry

Every time I see the pain in your eyes,
A little part of my heart dies.
No matter how hard and how often you try,
All I seem to do is make you cry.

You risk so much and take such chance
To share your heart and your romance.
You share your hopes and dreams and fears
And let me in to all that’s dear.

All I seem to do is be mean and cold,
To fail to cherish, fail to hold.
I seem to fail to put you first.
You act your best; I am my worst.

My mouth contradicts my heart.
My actions and thoughts so far apart.
I love you with every part of me,
Yet act so cruel and thoughtlessly.

I dream of you all night and day
And hang on every word you say,
Yet all you see is selfishness and arrogance,
Casual disdain and ignorance.

Assumption and judgment and everything’s a test.
No matter what you do, you’re always second best.
No matter how hard you try, it’s never enough.
I never hear your protestations of love.

I say I love you and cherish all of our dreams,
Yet act as if I can’t hear your screams
Of need and want and stability and trust.
My plans never materialize, my promises rust.

I scream at myself at how stupid I am
For risking your love, for risking your hand,
And I pray every day that you never see
That I need you more than you need me.

I bare my heart and my soul to you
To say sorry for what I did and for what I do.
I have no excuses and hide no more.
All I can offer is my love for evermore.
